Deerfield Beach, Florida– Moving Water Industries announced today that they had been awarded the prestigious Sunshine State Safety Recognition Award by the University of South Florida’s SafetyFlorida program. USF SafetyFlorida presented the award in recognition of MWI’s implementation and maintenance of sound safety initiatives, including effective injury and illness prevention programs, to better protect its employees.

The award was the culmination of an on-site audit by USF SafetyFlorida which involved a comprehensive evaluation of all of MWI’s written accident prevention management programs as well as interviews with employees to evaluate actual worksite conditions. To be eligible to receive this award, MWI was required to be free of any willful or repeat citations issued by OSHA within the previous 24 month period as well as no serious citations related to injury or exposure within the preceding 12 months.
